Plan your time ashore

What can you do with one day in Rome from Civitavecchia?

For a port call, choose a private driver with time to explore independently or add a licensed guide for a planned visit. Share your ship’s all-aboard time so the return can be planned around it.

If your cruise ends in Civitavecchia, you can add sightseeing in Rome and continue to your hotel or Fiumicino Airport if timing allows. If you only need transport, book a private port transfer and tell us how many passengers and bags you are bringing.

05 / Plan your trip

Before you travel

Frequently asked questions.

How is the return to the ship planned?

We plan the itinerary around your published all-aboard time and agree the return window before travel. The day’s route can be adjusted for traffic and port instructions.

What’s the difference between driver-only and guided?

With driver-only, you explore each stop independently. With the guided option, a licensed guide leads the agreed visit in Rome and the chauffeur handles transport.

Are attraction tickets included?

Entry and timed tickets are separate unless expressly listed in your confirmed quote. The itinerary depends on opening hours and ticket availability.

Where will I meet my driver at the port?

Your exact meeting point is confirmed for your ship and depends on terminal access on the day.

Can I request a child seat or extra luggage space?

Share your luggage count and any oversized items. For a child seat, provide age, weight and height so availability and fit can be checked in advance.
